James Landry is the Founder and Managing Partner of Landry Legal, PLLC
a law firm known for its work at the intersection of intellectual property, business, sports, and entertainment law. Through his practice, James represents creatives, entrepreneurs, and athletes, helping them protect their rights and scale their businesses with clarity and confidence.
James holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) with a concentration in Business Law from Florida State University College of Law. He also earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Entrepreneurship and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the University of New Hampshire, combining business acumen with legal expertise to provide clients with holistic counsel.
With a deep understanding of the legal challenges that creators and athletes face, James is currently focused on thought leadership projects that shine a light on systemic issues in the music and sports industries. His current work includes a content campaign exploring how the legal and financial structures of the music business are designed to benefit major record labels—often to the detriment of independent artists. This educational series will include eBooks, podcasts, and video content, all aimed at empowering creators with the knowledge they need to protect themselves and thrive on their own terms.
